RTI Names Jeffrey M. Swanson Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Premier vendor of customer-service software for technology companies puts software industry veteran at sales and marketing helm.

WOODRIDGE, Illinois — July 1, 1996 — E. James Emerson, PhD, president of RTI (Repository Technologies, Inc.), today announced the appointment of Jeffrey M. Swanson to the post of vice president, sales and marketing. Creator of the CustomerFirst integrated solution for customer support, RTI helps high-technology companies compete through exceptional customer service and comprehensive defect tracking. "Jeff Swanson combines in-depth software-industry experience with a track record of building and managing successful sales and distribution operations," stated James Emerson. Swanson’s software-industry career spans more than 15 years. Prior to joining RTI, he served in a variety of management capacities for Pilot Software, including vice president, business development; vice president, European operations; and vice president, distributor sales. Previously, he served as vice president of sales for Nantucket Software and as director of sales for SofTeam Inc. On a consulting basis, he worked with a number of software companies to define indirect strategy and to establish channels. He earned a BA degree from University of Michigan.
